Consultant and Vendor Information Sessions
We welcome the opportunity for consultants and vendors to offer information sessions to our nonprofit network on topics in which they have expertise. The purpose of these sessions is to help connect consultants and vendors to nonprofits while providing relevant information on specific topics of interest.
Information sessions are free and generally last 1 to 1.5 hours. If you are interested in leading a session, the following outlines the roles of HandsOn NWNC and the Consultant/Vendor Partner:
HandsOn NWNC will:
- Reserve room space in the Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness (114 W. 30th Street, WS, 27105) or Senior Services’ Meals on Wheels building (2895 Shorefair Drive, WS, 27105.) If space is not available in either of these buildings or another location is preferred, it is the responsibility of the Consultant/Vendor to find the space and reserve the room.
- Provide water and snacks. Any other beverages or food, such as breakfast or lunch, is the responsibility of the Consultant/Vendor.
- Promote the session through our monthly newsletter and social media.
- Post the session on our website.
- Track registration and share that information with the Consultant/Vendor.
If fewer than five people register for an information session, HandsOn NWNC will send the names and email addresses of those registered to the Consultant/Vendor so that they may contact those individuals directly to follow up.
Consultants/Vendors will:
- Provide a title and brief description of the information session for posting on our website and inclusion in our newsletter and social media. Include what participants can expect to learn from the session.
- Send HandsOn NWNC your organization’s logo.
- Provide the bios of all speakers.
- Work with HandsOn NWNC to decide on a date/time for the session.
- Bring your laptop and charger if you will be making a PowerPoint presentation. The Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness and the Senior Services’ Meals on Wheels facilities use ClickShare, a wireless app that connects to your device, for audio/visual.
- Make copies of any handouts.
- Make catering arrangements for food other than snacks and water. The Consultant/Vendor is responsible for paying for catering.
